Scherzade

An ode to a regal heritage, articulated with patient handwork. The asymmetrical jacket in ivory pure raw silk becomes a canvas for Mughal miniature–inspired scenes. Stately courts, delicate flora, and vibrant fauna whisper tales across the length and sleeves in fine aari embroidery with resham threads, enriched with beadwork. Intricately detailed appliqué borders in magenta, aqua, and almond frame the composition, lending it structure and contrast. The look is completed with a tapered shalwar in pure raw silk, its hem adorned with delicate floral and geometric cutwork embroidery in white gold, layered with zardozi, while a light scattering of sequins traces the length. A considered interplay of narrative and technique, shaped with clarity.
